Do you know how to approach a difficult conversation, navigate a potentially heated debate, or handle unwanted criticism … without conflict? If you are like many Americans, the answer is no. Conflict is inevitable, but would it surprise you to learn conflict can also be healthy?

The key to communicating through conflict is understanding your personal approach to conflict and how your conflict style impacts others and the situation. “Communicating Through Conflict” is a session offered by HR Training that will focus on teaching various conflict styles. Attendees will assess their own conflict style using the Thomas-Kilmann conflict mode instrument and then determine how to best interact with others so they can communicate through conflict. Tips to manage and improve conflict both in the workplace and at home will also be provided.

The session will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, BSC 341. Lunch will be provided. Reservations are required by Wednesday, Jan. 25. To make reservations or for more information, contact
