As part of a supervisor-level informational series, the HR Training Department will host “Hidden Disabilities, Disclosure and Accommodations” from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, in BSC 341.

Hidden disabilities can be any impairment causing limitations that are not obvious to the naked eye, not easily discerned by others or not noticeable in a person’s speech, behavior or mobility. Attendees will learn how to recognize these unseen disabilities, what limitations the work environment might have on an employee with an unseen disability, the how and why of disclosure, and ways to effectively accommodate an employee so they can be successful in their job duties. A series of real-life situations and solutions will also be discussed.
