“Mother” is the next film up in the Korean Film Festival and will be screened at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, in Plaster Hall’s Cornell Auditorium.

The film – which is for mature audiences only – centers on the single mother of a 27-year-old son, to whom she is devoted. When he is accused and found guilty of murdering a young girl, she sets out to find the real killer and prove her son’s innocence. It has been called “a superb murder mystery, with twists coming thick and fast…paced like a Hitchcock suspense thriller.”

Admission is free and open to the public.
