The Diversity & Inclusion Committee plans to reward the student organization with the highest number of combine volunteer service hours.
The selected club with the most hours recorded between Oct. 1, 2016, and Oct. 13, 2017, will be recognized during the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Breakfast, set for Jan. 15, 2018. The club will receive $100 from the Campus Activities Board.
The award is designed to honor compassionate MSSU student organizations that have contributed an extraordinary level of dedication and demonstrated superior leadership through exceptional service by volunteering on or off campus.
To be considered for the recognition, student organizations must provide the total number of volunteer hours completed during the identified time period as well as a brief description of the activities and the impact they made on the individuals. Please include the name of the organization and the total number of students involved in volunteer activities.
Responses are due by Friday, Dec. 1. To nominate a student organization, please send an email to diversity@mssu.edu.
