HR Training has partnered with VALIC, a leader in administering tax-favored retirement programs, to address retirement-minded topics for all university personnel.

Multiple group session as well as one-on-one meetings will be offered to campus employees on Tuesday, April 10. The list of scheduled events include:

–          Investing and Planning, 11 a.m. Spiva 413A, will explain investment basics and advanced investing topics to achieve specific financial goals. Insight on how to manage investments and cash assets will also be highlighted.

–          Retirement Strategies for Women, 12:30 p.m. in Spiva 413A, will focus on how retirement planning is different for women and what gender-specific financial challenges this working demographic may face in their future.

–          Social Security and Your Retirement, 2 p.m. in Spiva 413A, will discuss the status of America’s Social Security system and how this government-managed program could impact your retirement efforts.

          One-on-One Meetings with VALIC representative Matt Ticknor, will be offered from 10 to 11 a.m. and 3 to 4 p.m., with the average meeting lasting 30 minutes.
