The Career Services office is collecting lightly used professional clothing for the annual Dress to Impress event.
The event, presented in conjunction with the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, is designed to prepare students for their careers by helping build a professional wardrobe. Over the last four years, the event has provided clothing to more than 1,000 students.
“One of the reasons I love Dress to Impress is that I get to see Missouri Southern faculty and staff come together to directly impact students’ personal and professional lives,” said Alex Gandy, Director of Career Services. “Over the past four years, various faculty and staff have contributed hundreds of articles of professional clothing.
“Seeing these clothes get passed on from one generation to the next reminds me that MSSU takes care of their own – we truly are a family!”
Donations may be dropped off at the Career Services office, located in Suite 207 of Spiva Library, by Friday, March 8.
