MIAA recognition for Denise Terry – aka ‘Momma D’

An employee for Fresh Ideas for the past six years, Denise Terry now owns an honor from the MIAA.

Earlier this month, she received the conference’s SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Mentor of the Year award – which goes to someone who has had a profound impact on the lives of students throughout the year and is voted on after MIAA student-athletes submit nominations.

Terry, who is affectionately referred to as “Momma D” by Missouri Southern students, is the cashier in Mayes Dining Hall.
