Study abroad programs provide Southern students the opportunity to gain an understanding of other cultures and international issues. Dozens of trips have been hosted over the years, yet many on campus know little about how to prepare for, plan and promote these exciting learning experiences.
Tastes & Tales of Travel – set for 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, in the North End Zone Facility’s Alumni Room – will provide insight into Missouri Southern’s study abroad program
The event is open to faculty and staff and designed to help start and strengthen the study abroad discussion by providing a venue for campus personnel to share information, ask questions and sample cultural cuisine.
Participating departments will showcase their study abroad programs and share tales of their international travels throughout the come-and-go style event. Upon entry to the event, attendees will be given a passport, providing them the opportunity to win one of four attendee prizes. Prizes will be drawn throughout the event and you must be present to win.
Please note: Because some items will be prepared off campus by faculty and staff, Missouri Southern State University nor Fresh Ideas take any responsibility for the quality of the food. Alcohol will be served during this event.
