“Southern Safari,” the program at Missouri Southern State University that provides alumni and community members the opportunity to participate in group travel around the world, will be featured on the next edition of “Newsmakers” on KGCS-TV.

Judy Stiles, show host and KGCS general manager, welcomes guests Dr. Chad Stebbins, director of the Institute of International Studies at MSSU, as well as program participants Craig Tally, Anita Tally, Erv Langan, LeeAnn Langan and Jacquelyn Brown – all of whom will share their experiences and feelings about the benefits of group travel abroad.

Past destinations have included Cuba, London, Scotland and Ireland.

The show will begin airing nightly at 5:30 p.m. the week of January 19. It will also air on Saturday, January 25 at 5:30 a.m. on KOAM-TV – and is currently posted on the station’s YouTube channel, “KGCS Missouri Southern.”

KGCS programming can be seen on channel 21. It is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
