Detailed plans for the Fall 2020 semester at Missouri Southern State University highlight the next two editions of “Newsmakers” on KGCS-TV.

The show airing the week of August 2 takes a look at the international mission and plans for the themed-semester activities. Dr. Chad Stebbins, director of the Institute of International Studies, sits down with Judy Stiles, host and KGCS general manager, to talk about the Caribbean Semester – which includes a number of lectures and special presentations.

During the week of August 9, plans for the return of students to campus are discussed with Darren Fullerton, vice president of Student Affairs. He shares information involving safety features that have been implemented, along with the ongoing work being done by the campus’ COVID-19 Taskforce.

“Newsmakers” will air the evenings on KGCS-TV, and on Saturday mornings at 5:30 a.m. on KOAM-TV. The programs are also posted on the station’s YouTube channel (KGCS Missouri Southern).

KGCS programing can be seen on channel 21, and is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
