The program airing the week of September 6 features the Community Clinic of Southwest Missouri, with director Stephanie Brady. The program airing the week of September 13 focuses on Crosslines of Joplin, with director Rodney Rambo. Both organizations have a long history of serving the local community and have continued to do so with the additional challenges caused by the current climate.

“Newsmakers” airs in the evenings on KGCS-TV, and on Saturday mornings at 5:30 a.m. on KOAM-TV. The programs are also posted on the station’s YouTube channel (KGCS Missouri Southern).

KGCS programming can be seen on channel 21 and is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
