The next edition of “Newsmakers” on KGCS-TV takes a look at the crucial need for blood donations in the region.
Chris Pilgrim from the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks sits down with Judy Stiles, host and KGCS general manager, to discuss how the organization is trying to meet the demands from area hospitals. Many blood drives usually held at schools have been canceled – severely impacting the blood available. The program shares information about the process of giving blood and local opportunities to donate.
The show will begin airing in the evenings at 5:30 p.m. the week of September 20, and on Saturday morning (Sept. 26) at 5:30 a.m. on KOAM-TV. It’s also posted on the station’s YouTube channel (KGCS Missouri Southern) at: https://youtu.be/aYVhKfjO6ew.
KGCS programing can be seen on channel 21, and is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
