In what has become an annual holiday tradition to help those in need, the MSSU Community Service Committee and Staff Senate will once again host an Angel Tree for Pell-eligible students.

On display on the second floor of Hearnes Hall, the tree is decorated with ornaments – each one representing a child high-school age or younger. Missouri Southern employees can adopt an “angel” and help provide gifts for families in need of a little extra help this season. Applications for the program are available at www.mssu.edu/staff-senate. Completed applications must be turned in to Martha Freeman, in Room 246 of the Health Sciences building, by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28. They may be dropped off directly at the office or sent via campus mail.

The event is held on a first-come, first-served basis; the first 50 children will be accepted. Angel Gift Wish pickup will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, during the annual Southern Lights event. A LionCard ID will be required for pickup.
