Open enrollment for 2021 benefits to begin Oct.

Open enrollment for benefits-eligible employees will begin Thursday, Oct. 1, and end Saturday, Oct. 31.

For the fifth consecutive year, Missouri Southern and the Insurance Committee will offer health, dental, vision and EAP benefit programs administered through Cigna.

To enroll in benefits for 2021, all employees must enroll electronically using the PlanSource system. Beginning Thursday, go to http://benefits.plansource.com or call 1-855-730-8656 between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. to make your annual benefit elections. Benefit changes will be effective beginning Jan. 1, 2021.

Please note that the new carrier for all voluntary products has changed from The Standard to UNUM. Each of the voluntary benefits plans offered by UNUM will also be available online for enrollment. This includes critical illness, short-term disability, accident, life, voluntary life and hospital indemnity.

Open enrollment assistance meetings will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, in Room 418 of Spiva Library, and again on Friday, Oct. 30. For more information, visit the HR SharePoint page or contact Human Resources at ext. 9527 or HR@mssu.edu.
