On Jan. 27, Missouri Southern State University will launch a campus-wide diversity climate study.  We have contracted with an outside vendor, Campus Climate Surveys, LLC, to administer a survey to our students and a survey to our employees. They will be online and will be accessible for those who need accommodations.

One of Missouri Southern’s stated values is Diversity and Inclusion.  As we aspire to live out this statement of values, it is important that we both recognize and celebrate progress, and honestly identify areas in which we need to do more work to strengthen our policies and initiatives.  The results of these surveys will help us understand our university’s environment with respect to diversity and inclusion.  Our goal is to support a campus environment in which all employees and students can be fully engaged, feel safe and respected, and be able to thrive.

The survey results will be used to identify strengths and opportunities related to diversity, equity and inclusion for students, faculty and staff. All students and employees are strongly encouraged to complete the survey, which will be online January 27 – February 25.

We have selected Viewfinder Campus Climate Surveys in an effort to ensure that your responses remain anonymous. No personal identifying information will be collected from you. You will be receiving an e-mail directly from them inviting you to participate in the survey.

Campus Climate Surveys is a sister company to Potomac Publishing, Inc., publisher of INSIGHT into Diversity magazine, the largest and most well-regarded diversity and inclusion magazine in higher education today.

Every voice at Missouri Southern State University matters and we want to hear yours!
