The Missouri Southern softball program has announced four double-headers in the fall semester to prep for the upcoming 2022 season.
The Lions are coming off their first 30-win season and a return to the MIAA postseason tournament semifinals for the first time in a decade. This season the Lions will return 14 student-athletes from this past season along with MIAA Coach of the Year Hallie Blackney and assistant coach Cody Barham. Reinforcements were added in the form of five freshmen to round out the roster for the upcoming season.
Southern will begin the fall slate by hosting Fort Scott CC on Friday, September 17th with first pitch at 4:00 pm. Next for the Lions will be welcoming in Neosho County CC on Friday, October 1st with first pitch at 4:00 pm. The Lions will then host Crowder CC on Tuesday, October 5th with first pitch at 4:00 pm. Fall ball concludes with a trip to Division I Missouri in Colombia at the Mizzou Softball Stadium on Friday, October 15th with first pitch at 2:30 pm.
