The Missouri Southern men’s golf team is in 12th and the Lions have a pair of golfers in the top-ten after the first 36 holes of the MSSU Men’s Fall Classic at Shangri-La Country Club.

Tradgon McCrae is tied for second after the first two rounds. McCrae had six birdies in each round today, firing off a two-under 70 in round one and an even par 72 in round two to finish with a two-under 142 over 36 holes.

Logan Greer had four birdies and an eagle in round one, while posting four birdies in the second round to finish with a one-under 143 and tied for seventh. Jonathan Sanchez was tied for 27th after a 147, while Connor Williamson and Alexander Page finished tied for 32nd at 149. Page had a pair of eagles in the opening round, while Williamson posted four birdies in the second round.

Ben Epperly was tied for 39th at 150, while Ben Marckmann posted a 155. Josh Hamnett and Dylan Bagley had a 157, while Grant Sikes finished at 158 and Ryan Heinz shot a 159.

Hutchinson CC shot an eight under par as a team to lead the team standings after day one. Southern Arkansas, Oklahoma Christian and Rogers State finished at seven over and tied for second, while Northeastern State was fifth. Henderson State was sixth, followed by Missouri-St. Louis, Fort Hays State, Southwestern Oklahoma, West Texas A&M, St. Mary’s, the Lions, Missouri S&T, Harding, Concordia-St. Paul, Southern Nazarene, Southeastern Oklahoma and Newman to round out the team scores.

The teams will play a final 18 holes tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:30 am.
