The Residence Life Association and the Campus Recreation Department at Missouri Southern State University will sponsor a Safe Halloween event on Sunday, Oct. 31.
The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second floor of Billingsly Student Center. Families can bring their children to trick-or-treat in a safe environment.
Josh Doak, director of Residence Life, said this year’s event will look a little different from previous years.
“The event will be scaled back for COVID safety reasons,” he said. “It will allow kids to walk more quickly through the candy stations and prevent large clusters of people from congregating.”
Craft stations and games will not be offered this year, he said.
Admission is free and open to the public.

Media Note: The Lion Cub Academy will host a COVID-safe Trunk-or-Treat event from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, in their parking lot. Departments from around campus will offer decorated stations and disperse candy to children attending the LCA. While not open to the public, the event could provide a cute photo opportunity or story should you need a Halloween feature.
