Missouri Southern junior Matt Miller has been named the MIAA Hitter of the Week as announced by the league office today.
Miller, a 6-4 native of Aurora, Mo., had a week to remember for the Green and Gold as he helped the Lions to a 4-0 record against Rogers State and Fort Hays State.
Miller hit .571, while slugging 1.357 and posting a .562 on-base percentage. He had three home runs, two doubles, 11 RBIs and five runs scored.
Miller started his week by tying an MSSU single-game record with three home runs in a 25-2 win over Rogers State where he drove in eight in the game. Miller then had a hit in every game against FHSU, driving in three in the series.
Miller and the Lions will be in action tomorrow night as Southern plays host to Missouri S&T with a 5 pm first pitch at Warren Turner Field.
