The Global Leaders Speaker Series will present PostSecret founder Frank Warren at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, in Webster Hall’s Corley Auditorium.
Since launching PostSecret in 2004, Warren has received more than a million highly personal and artfully decorated postcards mailed anonymously from around the world. They have been collected in six best-selling books, museum exhibitions, and his immersive live events.
The campus community is invited to anonymously contribute a secret – so long as it’s true and you’ve never shared it with anyone before – for the “PostSecret Live!” event. Warren will share some of them during his presentation.
Designated postcard collection boxes are available in Mayes Dining Hall, the Lions Den, Spiva Library, León Health Sciences Center, and Hearnes Hall (third floor).
In addition, Global Leaders will have a table set up in Billingsley Student Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Monday, April 25.
“There will be a large board where all of the cards will be posted,” said Ryan Orcutt, director of Global Leaders. “Frank Warren will take some of them to read on stage and talk about the connectedness we all share by the things we don’t talk about.”
Warren will also have two of his books for sale: “PostSecret: Confessions on Life, Death, and God” for $10; and “The World of PostSecret” for $15.
