Crossroads magazine has received a Best of CASE District VI Award for alumni/general interest magazines published twice a year by four-year colleges and universities.

The award is for the Spring and Fall 2021 issues, which featured cover stories on Gary Vernon, a ’92 graduate working with the Walton Foundation to build bike trails throughout Northwest Arkansas; and Addie Siebenthal, a senior (who has since graduated) who truly embraced the university’s global mission.

Produced by University Relations & Marketing, the magazine is distributed to more than 35,000 graduates and friends of Missouri Southern.

In addition, campus photographer Curtis Almeter received a Best of CASE District VI Award for individual photographs. His photo, “Turning Up the Heat,” shows MSSU Fire Academy students suited up to take on a mock car fire.

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education is a global nonprofit association for educational advancement professionals who share the goal of championing education to transform lives and society. District VI includes colleges and universities in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
